Could you just set the bias and let go?

I have checked the heater current need 1.9A each & believe there would be no problem with the source being able to put out 5A.

Am going to try it this weekend.

Will report latter.

You mean, other than the EL156 needing a ten-pin socket?

I don't know for sure but would suspect that this tube will require more negative voltage on the grid to bias up properly.

Ah, I see that the Chinese put an octal base on it!

The screen grid voltage in Class AB seems a bit low at 350 volts.
