DYNACO VINTAGE STEREO EQUIPMENT AND I'M THE ORIGINAL OWNER.
PAT-4 PRE AMPLIFIER, STEREO 120 POWER AMPLIFIER (60 WATTS PER CHANNEL) FM-3 TUNER.
THE RIGHT CHANNEL ON THE PAT-4 PRE AMP HAS TO BE SET SLIGHTLY OFF CENTER TO THE RIGHT TO BALANCE BETWEEN LEFT AND RIGHT CHANNELS.
THE FM-3 TUNER WORKS, BUT CAN DRIFT OFF FREQUENCY, an alignment would probably fix this. Also the FM3 has had the tuning eye tube modified since the original tube went extinct. The tuning eye tube bars come together for tuning, but the "Stereo" indicator does not work. Very good cosmetically.
I HAVE ALL THE OWNERS MANUALS.
I WOULD LIKE TO SELL ALL THREE PIECES TOGETHER, BUT I WILL SELL THEM SEPARATELY @ $80.00 EACH OR
$200.00 or best offer FOR ALL THREE. I will except PayPal cash payment.

Really nice Mark IIIs, ST-70, and ST-35 clone for sale on Thu May 21, 2009 8:58 pm

Hi Dynaco fans,

I have three fine Dynaco amps for sale, at three power levels: 17 Watts, 34 Watts, and 60 Watts per channel. I am now concentrating on my completely custom built amps. These amps all come with complete test reports, a rare item even with new tube amplifiers. I am hard to please, and don't quit until my amps meet my high standards.

I have a fine pair of Mark IIIs for sale, recent build with quality vintage transformers, and modern, neat wiring. These offer the best of the old and the new with excellent original A431 and P782 cloth lead transformers, new stainless steel chassis, excellent Triode driver boards, separate bias adjustments for both output tubes, and SDS cap boards rated at over 600V. These Mark IIIs produce an honest 60 W RMS each with the included EH 6550 output tubes. The Triode drive boards have a cascode input followed by a long tail pair phase inverter, as used on some of the very best vintage amps like the Grommes 260. Refinished cages included. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer pair of Mark IIIs. These amps have impressive power across the audio spectrum. Photos at http://danielfabricant.com/page_4.html including a full test report for each amp with contact details. $1100 + shipping, mainland US 48 states only.

I also have an excellent ST-70 for sale, recent build with vintage outputs, choke, chassis, and cage; the rest is new. The chassis is an original steel chassis with minor haze and pitting. I started by cleaning the chassis carefully and then protected it with clear Krylon. I resprayed the bottom cover and cage black, and it looks rather good to me. All wiring is modern and neat. This amp has the original A470 cloth lead output transformers but a new Dynakitparts power transformer, a new VTA driver board, and quality Winged C output tubes. The GZ34 power supply uses a CE 40-80-30-20 capacitor supplemented with a 220 uF cap following the choke, for a total of 320 uF filtering the output center tap B+. The added capacitance tightens the transient response, but its placement after the choke prevents damage to the GZ34. It would be tough to beat the electronics in this amp on a stock chassis. Photos at http://danielfabricant.com/page_4.html including a full test report. $500 + shipping, mainland US 48 states only.

In addition, I have an unusual ST-35 clone for sale. Recent build with the original Z565 outputs (8+16 ohms), but a huge modern power transformer and GZ34 tube rectification with a choke filter like an ST-70, and beefy caps. The amp is nicely built on an 8 by 12 inch Hammond aluminum chassis with IEC power connector, clean layout. This is very powerful and clean and will outperform stock ST-35s easily. Comes with a bottom cover with screened insert for ventilation. Photos at http://danielfabricant.com/page_4.html including a full test report. $350 + shipping, mainland US 48 states only.

FOR SALE - Dynaco ST-70 amp with all tubes and tube cage on Tue Apr 28, 2009 12:15 pm

This ST-70 amp was a trade in from a customer. It is totally original and has not been upgraded or modified in any way. The interior wiring is untouched. I have done a full voltage check on this amp and all voltages are normal. This amp is in perfect playing order and sounds good. This amp was made in 1960 and was wired (very well) from a kit. The chassis has some light oxidation as is common on these amps. The transformers also have some marks. This ST-70 may be used as is but probably should be rebuilt if you intend to play the amp on a daily basis. The amp has an RCA rectifier, two RCA 7199 tubes and what appears to be 4 ElectroHarmonix EL34 output tubes. Some of the writing is worn off these tube so it is hard to tell. I can also substitute a brand new quad of Shuguang made EL34 output tubes in place of the tubes shown for another $40. Note - There is no tube cage with this amp > $325 + shipping Email me at Bob01605@aol.com if you are interested.
