Brand new here and looking for feedback. I know no one will be able over the internet to evaluate my skills in building a PH 14 (actually thinking about the 15, I like Sonicaps). I can appreciate the tempered skepticism in answering my questions and can actually appreciate the approach taken by tubes4hifi saying if you do not understand how to read a schematic and cannot follow instructions do not attempt this project. Most of my building has been done building speakers, I can look at a crossover and its legend of parts and put that together. Using available calculators I can modify or design a notch filter or baffle step circuit. You do not have to teach me to solder. I worked in audio at a time before CD and was the principal turntable guy, I also ran all tuners (analog) through performance tests and made adjustment where necessary, the owner did guide me here when necessary.
I just need to know if instructions are clear as to which wires go where especially wiring up the transformer leads. Another question is about diodes, do the instructions indicate proper direction of installation, if I was an EE I know I could tell from the Schematic .
I am pretty excited about the reports on what I hear about this phono.
