    PAS3 cap question

Post by stellan on Sun Nov 11, 2012 4:46 pm

On the board layout for the PC5 line stage there are two 3900pF caps. Does anyone know if it´s OK to use 4700pf instead or is this a critical value?

that's part of the high-filter circuit, so it will affect the freq response when the switch is in the high-filter position,
which rolls off the upper frequencies. Original Dynaco value was 4000pf. 3900pf is closest standard value.
Or even use 3300pf and 680pf in parallel. It shouldn't make any difference in normal use without the high-filter switch.
