Second pair of caps for SP-14 Empty Second pair of caps for SP-14

    Hi all,

This is a question for Roy, but I thought to post it here since it might be interesting and/or helpfull to everyone.

I ordered Roy's SP-14 preamp, and there is a second pair of coupling caps that can be add to the circuit.

I already own a pair of .22mF Russian military surplus K40Y PIO capacitors. Can I use them in that circuit instead of the .33mF normaly used?

I suppose I could try them and see (ear rather), but before, I'd like to know if there is any danger to the circuit itself.

They're huge though, its the 1000 volts version.

    Thanx

    Yves

yes, you can use those, or any others that you want to try.
then you can compare the sound because you've got two separate outputs!
You'll need an amp with two inputs, or a switch.
