When did Dyna start using the "modern" looking logo on their gear? I assume it came along in the 60s when many companies modernized their logos, but is there a specific date when it first appeared?

First units that used it, if I recall correctly, were the PAT-4 and Stereo 120. 1966, best guess.

There were some early promotional illustrations of the Stereo 120 that showed it with a label on its
cage, with the old "dynakit" script as on the original Stereo 70. These may have been sent out only
to dealers, with advance publicity about the new models.

There was a third style logo: block lettering as used on the Mark II and on the labels on Dynaco transformers.
You can see it on the Dynakit Mark II construction manual, linked elsewhere on this forum.

I've got a MK II with that early block lettering - forgot about that one...

I have one of those logos, too...remember that my daily users are modified Mark IIs, with all the work done inside. Outside they look like old, ratty Mark IIs. One of them, the rattier one, is missing its sticker on the cage. The other still has it.

Have you checked the old Radio Shack catalogs? I don't know when Radio Shack/Allied stop selling Dynaco. Always interesting to check prices from "back in the day".

Hey, I have a pair of those too! Even missing one of the "DYNAKIT" labels.

I've been debating whether to leave them ratty looking or to give them new chassis.
