    I saw this rectifier youtube video posted over on The Gear Page and thought some of you might find it of interest since rectifier questions come up fairly regularly here.

    There's a rectifier comparison chart somewhere on the site that shows current capability. The 5V3A is among the highest, the 5Y3 among the lowest. In the video, I'm surprised the 5Y3 wasn't destroyed.

    I was surprised at the 5Y3 also.
    I'm not a tech but I know the 5Y3 is usually found in single or paired 6V6 five to 15 watt guitar amps, not 75 watt KT 88 amps.
