Cool idea, that must be "Cherokee" from the Sheffield Lab "King James Version" album, correct? Bought that LP back in the 70's at the Melody Shop in Dallas. BTW, "Sweet Georgia Brown" is a good track to check sound staging.
Best Regards,
Charlie

Yes it is, and it is a great album, I also love the Sweet Georgia Brown track. I wished Sheffield was still doing the D-2-D recordings. I also have Dave Grusin's Discovered Again, another great recording. I would think that with the increasing resurgence of vinyl, that we would start seeing audiophile labels going back to D-2-D.

Re: System Home Videos
I posted a video on you tube of my system back in 2010. Eventually, I split it up into two shorter vids.
Playing a couple of tracks from the soundtrack to O Brother, Where Art Thou? to emphasize male vocals.
Rega Planet
Bottlehead Quickie
Dynaco/Curcio ST70
AV123 X-CS speakers
Enjoy!

Thanks. I've since sold those speakers and traded the ST70 for a pair of speakers. That system in that room was pretty amazing. No sub either!
I highly recommend the Bottlehead Quickie for preamp. SET sound at a price that seems ridiculously low. Battery powered. With a little tweaking it will blow your mind!

Re: System Home Videos
I posted up a video of my system last night, but UToob was giving me crap about copyright infringement, so I had to modify the audio just a tiny bit ... should be enough to keep the little litigators happy.
Music without lights is just ... sound? This is my home system with a DIY gang of six true color photo floods in the back of the room, and a set of Chauvet MiniStrips mounted behind the speakers. The floods are driven with a Pulsar SLC4000 color organ, and the MiniStrips are in sound active mode.
This is all about the lights anyway.

Pretty!
Gotta get rid of that big shiny black thing between the speakers though. Can't imagine it helps the soundstage any.

problem being, the better they sound, the more chance of a copyright infringement notice.

I may be wrong but I thought the way around that was to give the artist(s) claim to ownership in the title:sKiZo wrote:problem being, the better they sound, the more chance of a copyright infringement notice.

Re: System Home Videos
You're wrong ...
YouTube runs everything thru a tonal matching system that flags songs it knows. Been there, done that, got the chickens to prove it.
Apparently though, their robot isn't a PT fan ... this has been up there for months.

So, how do they do it?
On the YouTube site enter 'feat -official' (without quotes) in the search field.

Re: System Home Videos
So, what you're saying is they just don't like me ... Huh ... I get that a lot ...
Probably certain groups and material are better targets than others. Here I thought I was safe picking some has been bunch of old farts like the Beatles ...
PS ... if you checked out the PT title I linked, that DOES have credits, but with the first one I posted up, I got an immediate warning when trying to upload the file. Come to think of it, I never got a warning with some Dvorak I posted up either. No biggie ... next time I'll use some raggedy old jazz or classical.

According to the statistics married men live considerably longer (seriously). That means despite some compromises I can enjoy the music longer :-) (third marriage though )

Fortunately for me, my girlfriend of 8 years feels the same way about marriage.

On the bright side, I guess you're lucky you're not tripping over THREE pianos ...
I tried something different last night. Used to play with HTML and PHP and FLASH, oh my ... and was wondering if I still had it ... well ... sort of ... here's the grand tour.

Click any of the pics for more info and closeups. The photo order is a bit random, but it was late. And ... apologies to the op as it's arguably video, but ... it do convey a lot more information. Maybe too much.
