VTA SP Case Cover Necessary??? Empty VTA SP Case Cover Necessary???

    Post by guentherj2 Fri Nov 22, 2013 9:01 pm

I bet I'm not the only one on this forum that likes to see the tubes glow. My question is - what is the downside or concerns with operating the preamp with the case off? Sheilding? I guess tube sheilds would defeat the purpose.

FYI - I don't have a phono section in the preamp - my phono preamp is a separate component and I do use tube sheilds on it.

    Thanks...

I don't think Roy sees a problem with an open chassis, he has sold them that way.
