Got the Mr Nixie headphone amp up and running. It was extremely easy to put together, and I have to say that the sound coming out of that little thing is pretty darn amazing!
He uses a pair of quite unique mini Russian 6N28B double triode's. I cannot hear a hiss or hum or anything on standby. Crisp clear sound, great bass, as good as my Klipsch's.
I had looked long and hard of whats available out there, and for the price, this Mr Nixie amp, in my book, is unbeatable. I'm sure it would give units costing twice and more a run for their money!
In short, I can highly recommend it, small, great sound, good price, what more can one ask!
