    Post by vuthecuongjapan on Sat Jun 21, 2014 8:55 pm

    Hi all,
    my ordered sp14 preamp just has comed and I unboxed it.
    But still not plug it to the electric power yet.
    I dont know it's elcectric power is 220v or 110v. Could anyone tell me.
    thank you

    unless you specified 220V when you ordered the kit, standard is 120VAC 60Hz

    I understand. I should buy a 220-> 110 transformer now.
    thank you

    The power transformer may have dual primaries. On the Antek transformers for example, you can wire for 115 with the primaries in parallel, or 230 with the primaries in series.

    that is a correct point, I did not think of that.
    Not sure which model the SP14 uses. I assume it is the AS-05T240, http://www.antekinc.com/as-05t240-50va-240v-transformer/, it will take you to the manufacturers web site showing you the wiring diagram of that toroid transformer.
    You should be able to see details on the label of your transformer.
