New VTA board (Prebuilt) Voltage Problems Empty New VTA board (Prebuilt) Voltage Problems

Post by aguaazul Sun Jun 29, 2014 3:06 pm

Hi, I've double checked my wiring / soldering. I can't get any Filament or B+ Voltage.

Joe Curcio replaced the octal sockets and ran a strait, tight jumper for the Filament connections.

Here are some pictures, any help is appreciated.

    Thanks, Blue

we are assuming that you are getting filament voltage out of your transformer?

Yes, 6.7v on both sides measured at the bottom of the driver board.  I just brought it into a darker room. The tubes are lighting up. It's hard to see under the Silver Domes of the EH Tubes.

Everything was fine, it was me being extra careful. 1st, the light in the room where I was testing to see if the tubes lit up was too bright. I was measuring filament voltage to ground, when I measured the filament voltage from the transformer on both leads, I had the power I needed, everywhere that it should be. After closing the drapes, the gentle glow in the driver tubes could be seen. As I moved through the next steps, everything came out perfect.

So the problem, "Me!" being told to check the transformer voltage was the 'AH HA' moment.

Going to dial in the PAS now. It's in the mail!
