    Tube EQ, latest addition

Post by MontanaWay on Thu Dec 11, 2014 11:22 am

This is the latest addition to my lineup, model Hendrix tube EQ!
I've been working on this since April this year, and between Roy and myself, have finished it off and it sounds really quite amazing.
For you purists out there, this is obviously not for you, but I think it has a place for a lot of audio enthusiasts.
9 octaves per channel, and it does make quite a difference on each frequency when the EQ is 'in'. On the rear panel, it has RCA, ¼" jack mono and a ⅛" stereo jack for inputs.
Production units will be somewhat different. The volume control will be eliminated, it will be housed in a slightly taller chassis and the 'Amp Sensitivity' switch on the rear panel will also be eliminated.
The circuit is based on the old Blonder-Tongue Audio Baton mono EQ which came out in the late 50's.
The Hendrix is now available, 'pm' me if you're interested.

chassis size is 17" wide, 11" deep and about 6" high.
Production chassis will be about 1" higher though, so keep that in mind.
I'll do a special price for forum members and their friends/family for the month of December, $1,150.00 plus shipping. It will 'retail' for $1,350.00 plus shipping.
Like I said, if anyone is interested, please 'pm' me, and we'll go from there.
This is fully built & tested, it is not available as a kit.
