new style pas3 i/o board question Empty new style pas3 i/o board question

Post by dmag Fri Jan 30, 2015 3:22 pm

I am planning to install my new style RCA jack I-O PCB that has been sitting in my drawer for much too long.
    I have two questions.
    1. Mine ,unlike the one pictured has solid trace connecting all grounds except the phono input. .
This would tie the input and out grounds together, which i assume would be incorrect.
2.the original has a 10 ohm resistor tied between the tape in and tape out. The grounds being tied by trace would negate the resistor.

The PAS has zmod boards for pc5 and pc6.Triode capboard and tone controls removed. Additionally has updated selector and volume /balance pots. Blend is intact.
    How should I proceed?
    thanks

all grounds in a preamp should be tied to the same common ground (star ground), except for the phono input grounds,
which should go directly to the phono board itself, which is then grounded.
I've never used the 10 ohm resistors, they aren't necessary.
