    There are two things that you can do to allow your Dynaco ST-70 amp to run on 220 volts.

    1. Buy a 220 to 120 volt drop down outboard transformer. This transformer should be capable of delivering 800 to 1000 watts. These are available online at a number of different places for $30 - $40 USD. One such online vendor of these outboard transformers is below.

    220 to 110 or 240 to 120 drop down voltage converters

    2. Purchase a NEW 240 power transformer. If you want a 240 volt transformer then you can buy one from Dynakitparts at the link below.

    Possible hear the amount a whorl for PA-521 (primary and secondary)? and thickness of the package ferric?

    Hi,

    I cannot tell you about the windings because I do not know how they are wound but the iron stack is 2 1/8 inches (about 55 millimeters) thick.
