    150v or 250v SCA 35

Post by Paul229 on Sat Mar 26, 2016 2:04 am

    SCA 35

Replaced the two Aerovox caps in power supply

But ran a problem second Capacitor
    C 23 Lug
    (1) 320v
    2 250v

Pin 1 is connected with a 22K to pin 2 of the aerovx 50/50uF

    Giving it 150v

    Schematics says 250v

Which one is right ...the 22k resistor in there.....to follow- or the schematics...?

Should the voltage be 250v or 150v.....?

In well-debugged schematics ( and sca35 is well debugged ) follow the schematics. Always.

If the circuit is changed you are on your own. The way i would recommend in sca35 is
not to replace the caps but install an EFB board instead. This procedure is well documented
and constitutes an add-on to the schematics.

Just go with the EFB update from Dave. You won't be sorry.
