HiFiBerry DAC+ Pro Empty HiFiBerry DAC+ Pro

Like many of you, I have spent MUCH more money on getting audio to my amp, than the amp itself. All of my music is streamed from my local music library, or from Tidal or Spotify. No vinyl here! The following reviews (not mine) give a detailed review of the HiFiBerry DAC+ Pro, with real measurements of the quality. I use two of these with both of my Dynacos, and the sound is superb. I get full remote volume control, and a lot of different software options. When people hear it, they are quite amazed, that such an inexpensive box, can sound so good.

HiFiBerry DAC+ Pro Empty For a next step up, try Emotiva's DAC. I love mine.

~$100 vs ~$500, plus the appeal of putting it together yourself.

No argument here. I liked the Emotiva's balanced output, insofar as I've got a pre-amp that will accept that input.
