    When hooking up 16 ohm speakers to a ST-70 do you tie into the yellow wire from the output transformer?

    Yes - And be sure to also run a wire (the feedback line) from the 16 ohm tap to eyelet 12 for the left channel and eyelet 13 for the right channel if you have a stock (or a stock replacement) ST-70 driver board.
