replacement transformer for an A430 - 431 ok?

Post by Chris Scott on Thu Dec 14, 2017 3:30 pm

...as the title says - will an A431 work as a drop-in replacement for one of my MKII's?

I'd guess the only difference between the two would be the extra (4 ohm) sec. tap on the 431, but I could be wrong.

    TIA!

The A-431 will work fine with your MK II amplifier. Just terminate one of the unused taps inside the chassis.

Or bring the 4Ω tap out to where it can be used. These days the 4Ω tap is probably more useful than the 16Ω.
