Here's a general amp question. What is the effect of replacing a capacitor with one with a greatly increased voltage rating? I ask because i'm in the process of repairing an amp and wanted to replace the 330pF caps but there was no voltage rating, i ended up using 600v replacements but am now having problems with both channels operating at full power.

Could you let us know what type of amp this is and how the capacitor is used in the circuit?

Its a solid state 2 channel Son of Ampzilla. I know this is a Dynaco forum so i tried not to get into specifics about the amp and just keep it a general question. Here's a picture of the board, all caps in question are on the input board, none are on the bottom output board. There are 8 caps altogether that were replaced without knowing they're voltage, they're the two 330pF in the middle bottom, 2 10pF caps in the middle top, 2 22pF on the far sides of board, and the .001uF caps just below and to the inside of the 22pF caps. This picture is of the board prior to replacing the caps.

Hi,
From looking at the schematic a 500 volt rated cap should be more than enough. For small value caps in the pF range I like to use silver mica caps which do come rated at 500 volts.
