Aikido preamp question? Empty Aikido preamp question?

Roy, I have a ST70 that I assembled from one of Bob's kits. Outstanding product and customer satisfaction! That said, what will be the difference between Glass-Audio's Aikido product and your preamp? Looks like you are about to gift us with another killer product! Yeah, its getting cooler and I need another project, a tube preamp.

Aikido preamp question? Empty new preamp

Post by Roy Mottram Sun Oct 31, 2010 2:35 pm

the AIKIDO is an excellent preamp, for an experienced tube builder. That said, the one thing I don't like about it is the solid-state B+. I've built several dozen preamps over the past few years, and that's a mix I do NOT like.
For anyone that wants a bargain, I've got 2 bare AIKIDO PCBs left to sell, with or without parts (original SS B+)
So my new kit will be based on the AIKIDO circuit, with tube B+, simplied instructions, and available as a complete preamp kit, and parts list specifically for use as a line preamp.
I've actually got several new designs coming, most of them 3/4 or more done, but for the past month my time has been taking care of custom builds for existing customers and I haven't had the time to finish up the new products, including two new high-end phono preamps. Check back in about two weeks
