New member here and in need of some help. I have just replaced all three of the boards on this and now have a high pitch squeal when the selector is in the radio position, It is there even with the volume level all the way down.
It does increase some as I increase the volume. There is also some noise in the tape section, not nearly as much.
The spare selection is quiet. Any thoughts on where to look? I'm totally a beginner and hoping it might be something simple that I missed. These were pre-built boards and I just swapped out the old ones.

    Hi Brad,

The general rule when you replace two or three boards in a preamp or an integrated amp like the SCA-35 is to replace one board and then test the amp. If it plays OK then that board is OK and is installed properly. You then move on to the second board install that board, test and go on to the third board. If you replace all the three boards at once (as you did) and there is a problem (as you have) it is harder to track down the problem.

Questions > Where did you get the assembled boards? OR who assembled the boards ?

If you can post a photo of the inside wiring up here on the Forum maybe one of us can see an issue that may not be readily apparent to you ? You will have to host the photo on some other photo hosting web site. This forum is supposed to be able to host a photo but it just doesn't work ?

    Bob,
Thanks for you reply, that makes sense to do one board at a time. While taking close-up photos of the board to post, I figured out what was wrong. I have fixed the problem and the little dynaco is sounding very good. I really enjoyed just this little first time DIY project and can see myself trying one of your kits.
