My ST-70, recently repaired and updated is running better than ever. It sounds better than it ever did, but it seems to be running HOT. The cage gets hot to the touch after operating for a couple of hours. I don't remember this occurring prior to the repairs. When I say hot, I mean HOT to the point you can't leave your hand on the cage for a length of time. Is this normal?

The above photo is from an ST-120 not an ST-70 but the temperatures are probably similar. Your temperatures will probably be a little lower than these. Tube amps do get hot - especially after they have been on for a few hours.

Wow, I didn't realize the temperatures got that hot. Thanks for the info.
