Bypass filter switch Pas-3 Empty Bypass filter switch Pas-3

Post by lobby Thu May 05, 2011 2:47 pm

Hello, I have tried to search for an explanation of how to by bypass the filter switche on the pas 3, but cannot find it. I just got done replacing the rectifier and quad caps with a new PBC, replaced a few caps on the PC-5, as well as bypassed the tone controls when I was in there, but now I would like to bypass the filter switch too. If anyone can link me to an explanation or describe how, it would be greatly appreciated. Also, is there anything else I should take care of while I have her opened up?

have you looked at the schematic? you don't need to bypass anything, just remove the switch.
All the switch does is bypass a resistor to the hi freqs roll off. Take the switch out and all is good.

I unfortunately cannot read schematics. One day I will take the time to learn.

So I just need to remove all wires and the resistors going to the switch and it will be okay?
