I'm looking to put together a PAS-2 or PAS-3. I need something to work with, a shell, a chassis, a face plate or a complete pre-amp.

Jim,
If you would like to build an all new unit, Kevin at Dynakit Parts www.dynakitparts.com has advised that his new PAS chassis' should be available within the next 60 days. There are also several suppliers for the circuit boards and other necessary parts. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a PM and I will be happy to reply.
Best Regards,
Charlie
P.S. I am currently in the process building an "all new" PAS preamplifier!

Thanks for the info. Based on that information I think I will wait until Dynakit releases that PAS kit. Do you know if there will be reproduction knobs, decals etc. ?
BTW: I ordered a ST-35 kit from Dynakit Parts last week. It's supposed to ship today.

I understand that Kevin plans to offer a couple of faceplate options (with or without tone controls) and also the knobs. In addition, he plans to offer many of the other parts, including the switches. I'm not sure about the rear labels, but at least one of the board suppliers offers a replacement label as an accessory. However, if you would be interested, I have an Excel file of a PAS label which I made up for my preamp. I believe that I was able to match the original fonts (especially the "script") very closely, if not exactly. You could easily modify this to suit your own usage. Send me a PM with an email address and I will gladly share the file. BTW, I also built, and currently use, a Dynakit Parts ST-35, a couple of years ago. Good luck anmd enjoy your projects!

Dynakit PAS Chassis
Hi Guys,
The PAS chassis is in the works and as Charlie said it will about (60) days
before this is available. This will be a chassis kit with (2) choices of faceplates in
addition to an array of parts such as the knobs, switches, AC outlets, can capacitors
and related hardware. We also just introduced our PA-211 (120) vac power transformer
which you can find on our website: www.dynakitparts.com
We plan to provide links to a number of suppliers of PAS standard and upgraded boards.
Roy Mottram of course will be on our recommended list of suppliers for both his PAS
upgraded boards and related components.
We do plan to offer labels for the PAS...Both original format and a modern version.
These will be nice quality vinyl coated peel & stick label unlike the ones found on
Ebay.
The first production PAS chassis is promised to Charlie.
Regards,
Kevin @ Dynakit
