Those are set up for reading bias ... don't remember seeing one with VU ...
My apologies if you were thinking another build - but it did give me yet another opportunity to show off my lil beauty ...
I DO know that getting the needle to flop about wouldn't be all that complicated, but getting it to do so accurately takes a fairly complex circuit ... think op amps to minimize the components involved.
