I power down ST-70 then pre-amp then phono pre. A few seconds later I hear a short buzz? in the left speaker. Any ideas of possible cause?

After you power down the amp wait about 30 seconds before you power down the pre and phono pre. It takes about 30 seconds for the B+ power caps to lose their stored charge.

I typically press the mute switch on my preamp then turn the VTA off. No buzzing.

I made the whole procedure automatic with an arduino that controls SSR relays.Brap wrote:I typically press the mute switch on my preamp then turn the VTA off. No buzzing.
