Capacitor in original ST-70 Empty Capacitor in original ST-70

There are two small capacitors on the PC board. They read "Erie U2M 82 mmf +/- 10 %"
What type of 82 pF capacitor is the proper replacement? I have read that ceramic caps are not great for sound.

PS I have never really used a forum before.

    Hi,

I'm not sure how your post ended up as a "sticky" but perhaps Bob will change that.

You can replace the 82 pF caps using silver mica caps at 500 VDC or more. Mouser has them, or they're much cheaper and on sale at Parts Connexion at the moment ($0.80 each) but the shipping is going to hurt. Good luck with it.
