While researching parts at Mouser I stumbled across a new style of electrolytic capacitor from Nichicon. [A pencil capacitor.]The 82mfd/450 volts is 2" long but is a little less than a half inch wide. They will fit where no other 82MFD cap will, In the lower chassis of the SCA and probably the ST 35 amps. They might also fit in the PAS preamp.
My question: Does anyone see a problem piggy backing these caps to the quad cap. Say, in the case of the SCA and ST, one extra cap on each of the 3 high voltage sections? That would over double the capacitance of the amps and be a very easy mod to do?
