Press Release:
New Dynaco LLC incorporated
In an audio world seemingly gone to solid state and surround sound, the latest news in the revival of two-channel tube audio is the incorporation of "New Dynaco LLC" with corporate offices in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
New Dynaco LLC has a joint-venture partner in China who will manufacture new high fidelity audio amplifiers using upgraded versions of the well-regarded transformers of the original Dyna Company of Philadelphia, PA, which built tube audio equipment until the late 1970s; and with upgraded circuits providing 21st Century performance. The current owner of the Dynaco brand, Panor Corporation of Hauppauge, NY, has licensed the name to New Dynaco solely for tube audio equipment and will retain the rights to the brand for its core business, LED lighting. New Dynaco intends to market its line of amplifiers through an multi-national network of dealers, at very reasonable prices. The first product, the New Dynaco Stereo 70, is expected to retail at under $900 Canadian.
Consultants to New Lenco include American audiophile Bob Latino, who has long advised stereo enthusiasts to recondition and upgrade amplifiers built by the original Dyna Company, some sixty years old; and to assemble new-build kits to construct amplifiers rivaling the best available today. Latino operates a long-running Internet discussion forum about classic Dynaco amplifiers and new-build kits, which is the most popular of its kind among Dynaco enthusiasts, and among the longest running specialist audio forums since Al Gore fathered the Internet. As a result, the famed Dynaco amplifiers have continued to be legendary.
Longtime audio writer Prof. I. Lirpa, best known for his contributions to the lamented Audio Magazine, will also serve in a consulting role to New Dynaco as it plans and implements production of amplifiers for worldwide sale. The first New Dynaco amplifier is expected to be available at dealers in about a year.
