Z mod power supply Empty Z mod power supply

Post by Bally Thu Dec 03, 2015 12:28 am

    Greetings all,

Recently I completed my build of a Z- mod preamp. This is a build on a home built chassis.
I am now at the testing phase, but at the power supply there is no power at the B+.
I am using the upgraded regulated power supply.
I have re-checked component to schematic placement according to the manual and I don't see any errors.
There is however two eyelets on the board for 230vac connection to pins 6 and 1 of the 12x4 socket and diodes to ground.
I did not make this connection, since I did not think that this was necessary.
My question is ....is this wiring necessary? Is it a reason that the power supply is not powering up?

    Montana,

    Thank you for the response.
I've put this project at the back burner and is once again low priority.

I'll give it another look some time in the future.
