    maybe not everyone's favorite, but nevertheless he had a great career as a songwriter and guitarist

    My significant other has lost her two favorite musicians the past few months, Merle Haggard and now Leon Russell. A sad time indeed for her.

    2016 has been a hard year for its losses of great and talented musicians--too many of them taken taken too early.
