    The title contains the question - How much effect on sound and reliability does changing C1 & C2 from 0.1uf  to 0.22uf have?

    Why, you ask?   I just happen to have a few really good 0.22uf caps that I'd like to use if possible (same ones I used for the coupling caps).  Not sure I have enough to run them in series to get closer the value (I have 2 Dyna-VTA 70s), plus they're already fairly large for the space, and I don't want to butcher it by forcing 4 of these in there.

    should make no difference, it won't help, but shouldn't hurt
