    A-430 or A-431 winding Empty A-430 or A-431 winding

    Post by fobya71 Wed Dec 01, 2021 7:23 am

I saw it was posted time ago the winding sequence of the A-470 transformer.

Somebody know about the winding of A430/ A431 output transformers? Or are them still a secret?

No, I know about external connections.

I mean the sequence of turns into the transformer coils.

Ok, but all this info are for the A-470 transformer which was/is used on ST70. I need info about the A-430/A-431, which was /is used on the Dynaco MKII and MKIII monoblocs.
Iguess the winding is more or less same.

The input and output impedance is the same (4.3K input, 4-8-16 output), but the power is different, so I think that iron and wires has slghtly bigger dimensions than the one reported for the A-470.

I needed for two reason: I have two transformer in theory compatible with Dynaco MKII, but I have some suspect they do not have same winding. Then, I would like to wind myself two clones just for fun, and also for use on my monoblocks Smile

A-430 or A-431 winding Empty Dynaco Winding Info for A43x

Post by stewdan Thu Dec 02, 2021 10:44 am

Hi ---- I went to the diytube link
and clicked on each of the Board Index < Amplifiers < ST70 and Mark III parts of the link but could NOT find Mark III or A43X OPT info that looks like the A470 info.

I also checked at audioasylum, audiokarma and a few other tube sites, but came up empty.

So, I am out of ideas.
    Good luck,
    Stew
