I'm in Pasadena, MD, just south of Baltimore, about 1.5 hours from you. If you get desperate and want to come this far, I'm confident I can help you out. I'm pretty well versed in most 'stock' ST-70 amps, and have worked on many of the 'modified' version. Not to say I'm an expert in every iteration there-of, but I haven't had one yet that got my goat!! PM me if you think I can help, but hopefully someone closer will drop in and help you out!! Tom D.

Hi! I was the original poster but changed my username. I live in Philly and have an ST70 with the VAT board (3x12au7). It came from an estate sale and has a toroidal main power transformer. The old capacitor can had a meltdown and I had someone replace it ambut it still has some issues. Would you have some time to look at it? My name is Tim and you can message me here. Thanks!
