I was rereading Ed's sp-12 build thread and have a noob question about hum.
I read that his humms with the power off and is louder with it on.
1) Do ground loops only hum with power on or both on and off?
2) Mine (SP-8 ) only hums with tubes in and power on. Line tubes out, power on, no hum. Does this still sound like a ground problem?
