    Those driver board covers were found only on FACTORY WIRED ST-70's. You could put one on a stock KIT ST-70 but then the amp wouldn't be totally "original" anymore. Of course, the originality of your amp may not be a concern of yours. The cover does cover the board and prevents pets and children from touching part leads, some of which do carry high voltages.

    As I understood it, UL and/or CSA certification was the reason for the circuit board cover, and for the use of oddball fasteners for the top cover on factory wired units. Kitbuilds would not be eligible for UL/CSA certification, anyway.
