I own a very early ST70 prototype amplifier. It uses AVEL TOROID output xfmrs. It's basically an ST70 utilizing potted toroidal xfmrs driven by EL34 tubes. It is a handsome unit. Apparently a feasibility study that never made it into the marketplace. Probably not cost effective considering the new solid-state entries that were entering the market. An enquiry to AVEL in England elicited no help in the history of this unique unit. Are any of this forum members familiar with this one-of-a-kind DYNACO ?

    Hi,

Can you post a photo of this amp on the forum here? Someone might be familiar with the amp if they see it.

Check the sticky's above on how to post a photo ..

    Hi Bozzjax,
I doubt this was a Dynaco produced product or early prototype.
Avel Transformers LTD was Incorporated in 1983 whereas Dynaco ceased operation in
Blackwood, NJ in 1980. This most likely is a owner modified unit...Avel transformers
are made in China as are most products we buy today. Sad to say.

    Kevin @ Dynakit

PS: Still would like to see a photo of this amplifier.
