New GFI device

I've been happy with a Belkin power strip with remote control (Belkin Conserve Switch Energy-Saving Surge Protector with Remote). They have them at Amazon and local hardware stores, about $30.

I plug everything into this strip, and can then turn off all the components with the wireless remote control. The power strip also requires a manual reset after a power failure -- so you won't short cycle any tube equipment.

Great for eliminating vampire power loads (my flat screen TV draws 50 watts when off). The only thing I leave on 24/7 is the cable modem and router.
