Back in the early '90's when Panor took over the Dynaco trade name they came out with a number of products. One of the rarest was the SCA-120. This was a 60 WPC solid state integrated amp with a single phono input, three high level inputs and a single tape loop. I know these are rare because in the last 10 years or so trolling on Ebay ... I have never seen one for sale ... These also look like many of the Adcom solid state gear of the '90's to the point where I am thinking that they could have been made by the same Taiwanese manufacturer that made the Adcom gear? Photos below ...

Quite frankly, I never thought of the Panor "Dynaco" gear as anything special, especially the transistor equipment. One could make a case for the tubed PAS-4 but I saw a disproportionate number of them come across my bench with various problems, so I wonder about Panor "engineering" skills, too.

Just curious as to what kind of problems you've seen. Mine has been flawless since I bought it in the mid 1990's.
I also recall hearing that John Nunes, who at one time was part of the MFA team, designed the PAS-4.

Largely issues in the MOSFET power supply regulators. Some had audio circuitry failures which I believe were CAUSED by power supply regulator problems.

By now the PAS-4 is twenty years old; if yours has been flawless, I'd expect it will stay that way.
