I recently bought a used Technics SL-1900 tone arm off eBay to use on a turntable I'm assembling from other used parts. Would anyone know what the distance should be from the center of the platter to the tone arm pivot?

It depends on it's length and shell angle offset. A distance between 220 and 222 mm is very often in 9 inches tone arms.

The arm is listed in Vinylengine's database. Effective length 230 mm. Overhang 15 mm. Offset angle 21.5 degrees. Pivot to spindle 215 mm.
Null points 63.5 mm and 105 mm.
Buy a good protractor like the DB Systems protractor.
