    JAC Music has a nice web page on spotting faked tubes. You THINK you just bought a NOS Telefunken driver tube on Ebay ? Maybe it's a fake? .. Check out this link below .. Lots of good info on spotting fake tubes ...

    Fascinating! You'd think going to that much trouble they might actually make decent tubes again...

    The only way to know for sure is to look at it's bottom. No matter what it's labeled, if it doesn't have a diamond in the center of the pins it's probably not a Telefunken made tube. Even true labeled Telefunkens.
