Three months of SP-14 bliss.

Here's a little email I sent off to Mr. Mottram today. Thought y'all'd enjoy:

I wanted to follow up re: the SP-14 which I began enjoying  at the beginning of April.

First, it is the final link in the system I've been building for many years. And it has proven itself fantastic in every way. I've been running two old RCA 6SN7s in the buffer holes, and two NOS Sylvanias in the gain positions. The tonal balance is ideal.
This pre actually adds a layer of what I can only term "balls" to my already-rich palette. The subtle sounds are richer and the soundstage has palpable shape now. And always.
Credit must be extended to Mr. Bill Gratrix {audiobill} for not only a perfect build, but also for continuing support and advice which is invaluable (not to mention his wry sense of humor). You, Bob L., and Bill make a wonderful team, with supporting roles provided by Jim McShane and several kind forum members whom I can count on for support as well. Keep up the excellent work!

Nice! I've built mine almost 2 years ago and am still amazed every time. It is a great preamp.

Just wanted to extend on what Kentley mentioned. Audiobill assembled a pair of m125's for me a short month or two ago and I could not be more happy with the job he did adding some finer details to the completion of MY project.
As Kentley pointed out his advice and guidance were very much appreciated and there is no price tag when it comes to good customer service. The same message I can articulate about Bob Latino.

Gotta be a ditto-head here.
My bank of VTA and Tubes4hifi gear (M-125s, SP-13 and PH-16) have been a delight for several years now. They've been through a few upgrade iterations, OCD-related tube-rollings, and subjected to several user-input related goofs, but have held their mud quite well. Thank-you, Bob, Roy and Troy.
My thanks also to MontanaWay and to AudioBill, the former with whom I've done business and the latter who patiently talked me through the troublesome (but worth it) business of getting Tidal streaming set up, and to the other folks on this board who've been very gracious with their time and advice, and been just plain fun getting to know.

I gotta add my "me too" into the blend. I've been loving my ST-120 + SP-14 combo for almost two years. I did "go away" from the flock for my phono pre-amp (600$ or so was too rich for just a phono pre-amp) - but I love my system.

2) Philips BlueTooth Bridge
3) Little Bear PreAMP + Carbon Debut Turntable
4) Yamaha Tuner (for radio)
5) Standalone DVD/CD Player

On everything the full setup has been nothing short of sublime. In fact, I listen to it daily (I allow myself one full album of listening a day).
