Does anyone know what's up with Triode Electronics, (www.triodeelectronics.com)? I've been trying to place an order for over a week now but they won't return an e-mail and the phone goes straight to voice mail.

Triode Electronics was sold a number of years ago by the original owner, Ned Carlson. The new owners apparently don't have the same business sense that Ned did in answering phone and Email messages. I saw a thread on DIYAudio forum some time last year expressing the same issues about Triode Electronics non communications with customers. I will try to find that thread ...

I've had a similar experience with them. Waited over a month for them to ship a rather simple order.
No real communications, just some sort of scripted answer.
Never again, ever again.

Thanks to all for the insight. I did finally get a callback from them 8 days after I left my first voice mail but never got a reply to multiple emails. After waiting for over a month for them to replenish stock on an out of stock item, they slipped the date another month. If they were easier to deal with and stocked the items shown on their website they would have offered a real convenient solution to my needs, they have a nice assortment of parts, but I don't think its going to work out. What a shame. Maybe I'll try dynakit. I guess I'm spoiled by the great service provided by Tubes4HiFi, wish they sold components in addition to their great kits. I really love my VTA-120, one day a SP14 will find a place on my rack.
