ST-70 buzz question Empty ST-70 buzz question

    Hey folks!
hopefully a quick question for those of you in the know.
I am getting a buzz coming out of the speaker, left side only, when I do not have a preamp connected. Swapped tubes etc and still left side. Only when nothing connected to RCA inputs.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

    connect something .

An unterminated open input will always pick up noise.
You might replace stuff and move cables around to get rid of the symptom, but it's
only a symptom during an abnormal work state.

If you plug in two interconnects to the amp and the other two ends of the interconnects into your preamp, the noise should go away. This is perfectly normal behavior for the Dynaco amps and many other tube amps.

Okay, thanks. Seemed odd but it is dead quiet when everything is connected so I found it odd.
