I had the pleasure of introducing Dr. Ivan Linscott on the occasion of my 39th birthday last Wednesday. A longtime friend, Dr. Linscott (Stanford, JPL, NASA) has been in charge of the Pluto rocket shot. The vehicle passed by Pluto precisely as planned and now is photographing the Kuiper Belt.
The rocket mission, dubbed New Horizons by NASA, could not detect a single molecule of unobtanium in our entire solar system, or even in the Belt.
This is sad news. Please join me in my grief.
