MK IV fuse Empty MK IV fuse

    Post by WPFW893FM Sat Jun 15, 2019 9:27 am

I always get agitated when these things happen. Anyhow the MK IV blew a fuse this morning. Blew a second one also I watched real close the rectifier tube seemed to arc? spark in its envelope. Had a similar problem with the other amp about a month ago put in a dif 5ar4 and it was fine. I guess those mullards I bought new the rec tubes are not built to last past 14 months or so? Who knows that would be the best answere for me right now. Have to dig one up or order two more.
