    Anyone using 6U8A in their original ST70? How is it?
    It is just time foe me to look for a pair 7199 or 6U8A.

    Please help.

    I do have a VTA ST70 too for rock and pop music and the original ST70 for jazz.

    It does not answer your question, but i recently installed adapters and GB-1252 ( a 6U8 tube) in a sca35 with good results.
    I even have a spreadsheet with key figures for some dfferent tubes, unfortently in swedish but i think you intelligent readers can get a grip of the meaning :-) :
