Maybe you could and then again maybe it would cause a ground loop and some extra hum/buzz ? BUT > Consider that Dynaco grounded the original Dynaco ST-70 this way with the two 6.3 volt AC filament lines center taps star grounded through the two .022 uF capacitors. The noise level of the original Dynaco ST-70 amp and the VTA ST-70 amp are very low. Both are in the -90 dB range which is lower than normal for a tube amp.
Personally, I don't think anything is to be gained from local grounding those two center taps. It could make no difference OR it could increase the residual noise level of the amp ?

Thanks Bob for the clarification, I am in the construction phase of a VTA ST 120 and studying the assembly phases I was wondering about this point, however I am curious to try. For Italy have you reactivated shipments for the purchase of the pcb?
