I am sure Bob is greatly honored ( I would be ) but did you check with him to make sure this is OK? I will probably order one of these if Bob is OK with it.

Yes I emailed Bob a week or more ago after making the badge before posting it here in another thread. Plus there is no money being made by me from ebay except the guy that etched the badge for me from my image I supplied him... It's all good.

I did not realize that you were going to have that badge made up for sale ! The amp is NOT a "Bob Latino" amp. It is a VTA amp which happens to be sold by me on the Tubes4hifi web site. I would ask that you stop the sale and distribution of that badge. Your badge gives the wrong perception about the amp.

I’m going to get some badges made up that say “Tom Pickett collection” for a line of really tacky cowboy clothes.

I apologize Bob I wasn't aware that this was gonna be a problem and I am not selling the badge I just had a person on eBay sketch one for me from the image that I made.
If you want I will withdrawal the badge and I won't use it on my amp.
I truly apologize if this has created some problems for you I was just customizing my amp.
You have a good day Bob and again I apologize.

Tom,
I guess this was just a misunderstanding .. The amp is a VTA amp from Tubes4hifi.com that is just sold by me.
I would rather you not use that badge on your amp.

No Earl.... it's not like that. I never intended for this.
Initially in the beginning I just made the badge on my desktop computer using Photoshop and thought it would be nice as a custom badge on my 120. So I contacted Bob on the Internet through email and thought maybe he understood what I was doing and it ended up being a misunderstanding on my part.
While searching on eBay for parts for some of my projects for the amp I ran across this guy that was making badges for the old ST 70 and many other badges for other old tube equipment and I sent him a message asking him if he would custom make a badge for me with the image I made in Photoshop.
There was no sales pitch and there was no thought of making any money off of this for which I would never do. Plus even if I did I would never do such a thing without first asking Bob for his approval.
But I also thought that if people liked the badge that they might want one themselves for their 120 bulid and I was just trying to help others and I wasn't looking to profit from this but only to share and help others.
Anyway to make it short... I mean no disrespect but I thought your comment was somewhat ???? because you don't know who I am so to make such a comment is very ???? to someone you do not know personally and someone who is just trying to help others in the forum.
Anyway you have a good day Earl.

That guy does provide a useful service. I purchased a Dynaco tag to put on a custom faceplate for one rebuild and a pair of SPICA tags for some speakers I replaced the grill cloth. I may have him custom make a tag for a pair of Parts Express Samba MT speakers I am building.

A “VTA 120” or “Vacuum Tube Audio Stereo 120” label would be nice for the VTA120. If only to eliminate any confusion with the ST70 chassis. Think about it. How would you know it was a VTA120 when it says “Dynakit Stereo 70” on the front of the chassis? Next thing you know someone tries putting EL34s in there and has a bad day.

You can use that photo you have posted above if you want but that photo is of an older pre April of 2012 photo of the VTA ST-120. The photo below is to me a better photo of the modern (post April of 2012) of the VTA ST-120 amp. I can send you directly the photo below by Email if you want ?
